Job summary

Delek US Holdings in Carlsbad, NM seeks a Pipeline Operator to manage oil and product flows, monitor pipeline systems, and coordinate with the Asset Maintenance Team to keep operations safe and efficient.

This skilled II level role requires a high school diploma, DOT qualifications, and experience with heavy equipment, inspections, and emergency response; you will unload rail cars and ensure compliance with regulations while supporting maintenance tasks and field operations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; equivalent combos may be considered.
  • 1+ years as Equipment Operator preferred; 2+ years in pipeline maintenance preferred.
  • DOT Operator Qualifications, valid driver's license; CDL or ability to obtain CDL required.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors the status of equipment and machinery used to transport other materials.
  • Inspects and repairs the product pipeline.
  • Monitors the flow of products being transported.
  • Adjusts the speed of machinery to ensure safe operation.
  • Communicates and coordinates activities with other operators during transportation operations.
  • Unloads rail cars.
  • Must follow all pertinent regulations and procedures.
  • Performs safe operation of Heavy Equipment.
  • Passes required OQ testing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Operator will report directly to the Manager of Asset Maintenance; working closely with crew members of the Asset Maintenance Team. Responsible for managing the flow of oil, natural gas, and other fossil fuel materials that circulate through pipelines.

Education And Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • One (1) or more years Experience as a Equipment Operator (Preferred)
  • One (1) or more years Experience of Pipeline Excavation (Preferred)
  • Two (2) or more years Experience in Pipeline maintenance/assessment activities (Required)
  • Required Certifications/Licensures: (Meet and pass DOT Operator Qualifications, Valid driver’s license, Valid CDL or ability to obtain CDL)
