Job Summary
The Operator will report directly to the Manager of Asset Maintenance; working closely with crew members of the Asset Maintenance Team. Responsible for managing the flow of oil, natural gas, and other fossil fuel materials that circulate through pipelines.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- One or more years Experience as a Equipment Operator (Preferred)
- One or more years Experience of Pipeline Excavation (Preferred)
- Two or more years Experience in Pipeline maintenance/assessment activities (Required)
- Required Certifications/Licenses: Must meet and pass DOT Operator Qualifications, valid driver’s license, valid CDL or ability to obtain CDL.

Responsibilities
- Monitors the status of equipment and machinery used to transport other materials
- Inspects and repairs the product pipeline
- Monitors the flow of products being transported
- Adjusts the speed of machinery to ensure safe operation
- Communicates and coordinates activities with other operators during transportation operations
- Inspects and maintains equipment and machinery as needed
- Tests composite crude samples throughout the system
- Unloads rail cars
- Must follow all pertinent regulations and procedures as required by federal, state, or company entities
- Performs safe operation of Heavy Equipment
- Possesses knowledge in excavation safety
- Performs needed tasks within the company’s Spill Response Team
- Passes required OQ (Operator Qualification) testing
- Performs other duties as assigned
Hours of Work / Travel
40 hours per week with overtime as needed. Must be able to travel, possibly overnight, to all Delek assets. Must be able to drive for extended periods, utilize hand tools safely, be on feet for several hours, available for call‑out when needed. Workspace: 90% field, 10% office. Must work in abnormal weather, pass medical evaluation for Emergency Response, enrolled in respiratory program.
Physical & Fitness Requirements
- Perform duties in office and outdoor facilities, weather appropriate to location.
- Drive a company vehicle and/or other motorized equipment.
- Climb and descend stairs and ladders, work at heights, perform tasks in confined spaces up to 33% of working time.
- Lifting and transporting materials up to 50 pounds and operate hand/power tools up to 33% of working time.
- Wear required company‑provided personal protective equipment for routine and emergency operations.
- Successfully complete all required training and DOT Operator Qualification evaluations.
- Adhere to all safety and environmental policies and standards.
