Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking a skilled Field Operator to install, maintain, and repair valves, pipeline appurtenances, compressors, and related equipment along our natural gas assets. This role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and teamwork in a 12-hour rotating shift covering all weather conditions.

You will oversee third-party work, inspect contractor activities, perform pigging when needed, and assist in outage planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical skills and ability to diagnose issues.
• Ability to read blueprints and P&IDs.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain operator qualifications.
• Safety-focused approach with ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, service and maintain valves, pipes, and pipeline appurtenances and equipment.
• Oversee third-party construction/maintenance; monitor 811 tickets.
• Inspect work by contractors and perform pigging when necessary.
• Conduct line patrols and valve inspections for regulatory compliance.
• Operate compressor engines and pumps within defined parameters.
• Maintain documentation and assist with budgeting and cost control.
