Job summary

Kinder Morgan, Inc. is seeking an Operations Specialist based at the Texarkana Compressor Station to operate and maintain gas pipeline facilities, engines, pumps, and associated equipment.

The role requires on-call coverage for nights and weekends with occasional after-hours emergencies and travel as needed. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and stability within a major energy infrastructure company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two-year associate degree or vocational-tech in mechanical/instrumentation is a plus.
• Knowledge of reading/understanding blueprints, P&IDs and other diagrams is preferred.
• Must be able to respond to callouts after hours and handle emergencies as needed during on-call periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain pipelines, compressors, and related equipment.
• Start, stop, and manage engines/pumps within defined parameters.
• Diagnose and repair engines, turbines, pumps, valves, and instruments.
• Install and maintain valves, piping, and corrosion protection systems.
• Oversee safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance at the station.
• Coordinate with third parties and train personnel as required.
