Job summary

TC Energy seeks an Operations Planning Engineer to serve as a critical link among Gas Control, Field Operations, Commercial Operations, Engineering, Project Management, and Customers. You will develop operational plans, evaluate system capacity, support real-time ops, manage outages, and provide hydraulic analyses to aid decision-making.

Role involves traveling for assignments and a hybrid work model across North America.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university program.
Strong communication skills with technical customer representatives.
Ability to maintain positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
Knowledgeable in formal planning techniques for major projects.
Experience developing engineering standards, specifications, guidelines, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Use pipeline simulation models to evaluate operations and efficiency.
Calculate capacity restrictions for maintenance and projects.
Coordinate activities to minimize impact on customers and TC.
Analyze daily operations, predict performance, and compare actual vs estimated deliveries.
Provide engineering oversight to minimize disruption from construction and testing.
Develop alternative operating, replacement, and expansion proposals.
Coordinate with planning, control, operations, and engineering regarding growth and maintenance.
Travel to other company locations for temporary assignments as needed.
