Job summary

TC Energy is seeking an Operations Planning Engineer to serve as the link between Gas Control, Field Operations, Commercial Operations, Engineering, Project Management, and Customers. You will develop and coordinate operational plans, evaluate system capacity, support real-time operations, manage outages, and provide hydraulic analyses for informed decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university program.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with peer technical customer representatives.
• Ability to maintain positive presence with customers and stakeholders.
• Knowledgeable to apply formal planning techniques for major projects.
• Demonstrated ability to develop engineering standards, specifications, guidelines, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering and analytical expertise in assigned activities.
• Use pipeline simulation models to evaluate operations and capacity to meet customer needs.
• Coordinate activities to minimize impact to customers and TC.
• Develop alternative operating, replacement, and expansion proposals.
• Coordinate with Facility Planning, Gas Control, Operations, and Engineering on growth and maintenance.
