Job summary

Boardwalk Pipelines, LP seeks an Engineer I/II/III or Project Manager for our Lafayette, LA office to design, manage, and support natural gas and liquids pipeline projects, ensuring safe, reliable operation and regulatory compliance.

The role involves data collection, root cause analysis, budgeting, scheduling, coordinating with regional leaders, and directing engineers and contractors to deliver projects typically under $10MM, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 2-10 years’ experience related to Engineering.
• Interpret and comply with applicable natural gas industry codes, standards and regulations including DOT Pipeline Code 49 CFR 191, 192, 193, ASME B31.3, B31.8, and FERC Regulations found in 18 CFR 1.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office applications.
• Good oral/written communication, administrative/organization and analytical/problem solving skills.
• Ability to travel as required to support projects and attend meetings.
• Ability to work under regular supervision.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities and assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering design, project management, and construction support on a diverse range of complex natural gas and liquid pipeline projects.
• Collaborate with Regional leaders to conceptualize and estimate maintenance capital, maintenance expense, and reimbursable projects.
• Develop and execute project plans, budgets, and schedules; prepare specifications, order material, review drawings, prepare and negotiate scopes of work and contracts.
• Provide direction and support for an interdisciplinary team to successfully complete moderate (<$10MM) capital projects.
• Communicate with internal and external customers to determine needs and deliver cost-effective solutions.
