Job summary

Magnolia River in Baton Rouge is seeking an engineer to model, design, draft, and field-work on natural gas distribution and transmission projects. You will contribute to every phase of the project lifecycle while delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable solutions.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and at least 2 years in an engineering environment; experience with natural gas pipelines is preferred; EIT is a plus and prior internship with Magnolia River is encouraged.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical) and 2 years in an engineering environment.
  • Natural gas pipeline experience and/or other utility is preferred.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is preferred.
  • Previous internship with Magnolia River is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret data from design locates, field work, and other data collection.
  • Produce basic P&ID and compare basic layouts.
  • Understand permit process for permit tracking and HDD basics, and as-built process.
  • Understand and ensure project scope, schedule, and cost requirements are met.
  • Prepare written plans, reports, or procedures to address specific project needs.
  • Develop and maintain professional rapport with Project Manager and project team members.
