Pipeline Project Engineer

We are seeking Pipeline Project Engineers to support a variety of natural gas infrastructure projects, including pipelines and meter stations. These positions span multiple experience levels, from early-career engineers to experienced professionals. The successful candidates will help ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable transportation of natural gas by providing engineering expertise, project oversight, and coordination with third‑party engineering and construction firms.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for pipeline and meter station projects.
• Work closely with third‑party engineering and construction companies to ensure projects stay on schedule, meet quality standards, and comply with company and regulatory requirements.
• Review engineering drawing packages and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.8, 49 CFR Part 192).
• Assist in project scoping, material selection, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Support multiple project managers across various projects, ensuring coordination between internal and external teams.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Travel up to 50% as required for project support and site visits.

Skills & Experience

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• Strong organizational, coordination, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Project.
• Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.

Preferred:

• 1-8+ years of experience in pipeline design, construction oversight, or project management.
• Experience working with third‑party engineering or construction firms.
• Familiarity with pipeline design requirements, applicable regulations, and industry codes.
• EIT certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Knowledge of survey methods and technology.
• Internship or co‑op experience in oil, gas, or utilities.
• Degree concentration in Civil or Mechanical Engineering; MBA considered an asset.
