NorthWestern Energy is seeking a corrosion control technician to inspect, monitor and remediate corrosion on gas pipelines across Montana locations including Billings, Bozeman, and Butte. You will perform cathodic surveys, verify anomalies with ILI data, and install bonding and isolation systems while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a good safety record and meet all safety standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience or training in corrosion control preferred.
• Current AMPP/NACE certification is a plus; CP1 within 12 months of hire.
• Must meet Operator Qualification (OQ) standards and have a valid driver's license.
• First Aid/CPR certification and compliance with DOT drug testing required.
• Get Into Energy certification is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Inspect, monitor and remediate atmospheric, external, and internal corrosion on NorthWestern Energy pipelines.
• Perform cathodic assessment surveys (pipe-to-soil, CIS, ACVG, DCVG, coating conductance, etc.).
• Familiar with ILI assessments and field anomaly verification.
• Install and maintain cathodic bonds and related grounding equipment.
• Maintain cathodic isolation, AC inspections, and mitigation efforts.
• Build, inspect, install and maintain cathodic/grounding equipment and monitoring stations.
• Data collection, retention, analysis, and maintenance in PCS database.
• Travel up to 50% per year; training could require travel for up to first 3 years.
• Obtain AMPP/NACE level I–IV certifications as needed.
• Maintain attendance, safety, and alignment with company values and ethics.
