Job summary

ONE Gas, Inc. is looking for a field operations worker to perform pipeline construction, installation, maintenance and removal on transmission and distribution networks in Oklahoma City. You will load, unload, and operate a wide range of tools and equipment while maintaining safety standards.

The role includes routine vehicle maintenance, responding to emergencies, and ensuring reliable attendance. Travel over uneven terrain and adherence to company procedures are expected as part of daily

Qualifications

Knowledge of use, function and maintenance of manual tools and equipment.
Understanding of basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Knowledge of construction and maintenance of transmission/distribution pipelines.
Basic safety procedures and customer service activities.
Fusing plastic pipe knowledge.
Ability to read maps, atlas pages, blueprints, and job orders.
Fluent reading and writing in English.

Responsibilities

Perform pipeline construction, installation, maintenance and removal on transmission and distribution lines.
Load, unload and operate tools and equipment including wrenches, pipe cutters, heat fusion irons, and similar gear.
Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment (fuel, oil, lubricants, filters).
Investigate customer orders and emergencies (low pressure, leaks, fires, etc.).
Maintain regular and reliable attendance; perform additional duties as assigned.
