Job summary

ONE Gas, Inc. is seeking a field technician to perform pipeline construction, installation, maintenance and removal work on transmission and distribution pipelines in Oklahoma City. The role requires hands-on tool use, strict safety adherence and reliable attendance.

You will load and operate equipment, read maps and blueprints, document activities and respond to customer orders and emergencies as needed, collaborating with crews to maintain safe, efficient gas service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of use, function and maintenance of manual tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of basic arithmetic (tested).
• Knowledge of construction and maintenance of transmission and/or distribution pipeline systems.
• Reading and writing fluently in English.
• Knowledge of basic computer functions and relevant software.

Responsibilities

• Perform pipeline construction, installation, maintenance and removal work on transmission and distribution pipelines.
• Load, unload, and operate tools and equipment including but not limited to various pipes, hand tools, air compressors and generators.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment including fueling, lubricants and oil changes.
• Investigate customer related orders and emergency situations including but not limited to low pressure calls and leaks.
