Job summary

SAM Construction Group in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Pipelayer to assist with civil underground work on a multi-building project. You will install underground water, sewer, and storm pipes, and prepare the trenching areas under foreman supervision.

The role requires 2+ years in construction as a pipelayer, ability to pass drug/background checks, and willingness to work in hot conditions. This is an in-person, full-time opening with standard site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in construction - pipelayer.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Able to work in hot weather conditions.
• Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn.

Responsibilities

• Install and layout of underground water, sewer and storm pipes/conduit under the Foreman’s direction.
• Prepare work area for excavation of trenching.
• Dig trenches to desired or required depths, by hand or using trenching tools.
• Load and unload materials, machinery, and tools.
• Use and operate small power and hand tools.
• General clean up and removal of debris.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
