Job summary

Harnden Construction Services, LLC is seeking a dedicated Pipelayer for ongoing projects in Maryland, with assignments at Ft. Meade.

The role focuses on storm drainage, sanitary sewer, waterline installation, and related underground utilities, requiring a strong work ethic and team orientation. Ideal candidates will have background in heavy highway construction, ability to pass background checks and drug testing, and readiness to operate field equipment and hand tools on varied public/private

Qualifications

• One year of relevant heavy highway construction experience.
• Experienced in underground utilities such as storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, and structures.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem solving.
• Ability to fit test & utilize PPE as needed.
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job).

Responsibilities

• Acquire tools for daily operations.
• Measure distances from grade stakes, drive stakes, and stretch tight line.
• Bolt, nail, align, and block up under forms.
• Signal operators of construction equipment to conform to grade specifications.
• Level earth to fine grade specifications.
• Mix concrete and finish freshly poured cement or concrete.
• Position, join, align, and seal pipe sections.
• Erect scaffolding, shoring, and braces.
