Job summary

ColonialWebb Contractors Company in Richmond, Virginia is looking for individuals to join as pipefitters/welders. Responsibilities include assembling, repairing, and installing piping systems while ensuring adherence to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in construction and/or pipefitting/welding.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including unscheduled overtime.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn to assemble, repair, and install various piping materials.
• Assist in layout, fabrication, assembly, installation, and welding of piping systems.
• Work on projects including renovations, retrofits, and installations.

Skills

Construction and/or pipefitting/welding experience

Understanding of basic construction/shop math

Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations

Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy

Ability to work easily and skillfully with hands

A day in the life:

• Learn how to assemble, repair, and install: PVC, Cast Iron, Copper, Black Iron Screw Pipe, and Weld Pipe
• Assist lay out, fabrication, assembly, installation and welding of piping systems, fixtures, and equipment
• Work on various project types which include: renovations, change‑outs, retrofits, installation of commercial plumbing and hydronic systems

You should have:

• Ability to get to work each day on time and focus on the job at hand
• 1 year of construction and/or pipefitting/welding experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including unscheduled overtime (nights and weekends)
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations (is a plus, but not required)
• Understanding of basic construction/shop math
