Job summary

Matrix Service Company is seeking a skilled pipefitter supervisor to lead crews in maintenance, turnaround and construction projects at refinery sites. You will interpret drawings and plans, coordinate resources, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity across tasks.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in refinery maintenance or construction, NCCER or journeyman status, TWIC card, and strong safety discipline. This on-site role offers a competitive pay rate and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must pass the Craft Skills Test at or above 70% or NCCER certification for the applicable craft.
• Must have a good understanding of Company policies and procedures.
• Must complete Company Safety Training, Process Safety Management Training, S.T.A.R.T. Class, and Client/Site Specific Training.
• Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and protocols.
• Able to communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and other departments about issues and solutions.
• MUST obtain and maintain active status within the appropriate drug testing program.
• MUST pass background check.
• MUST have TWIC card.
• MUST obtain the 20-hour high hazard facility training card.
• Must have Verification of 8,000 craft related hours OR Graduated journeyperson status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead pipefitting crews in maintenance, turnaround and construction activities.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with requirements.
• Interpret drawings, isometrics, specifications and work packages to plan daily activities.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, tools and equipment for project execution.
• Monitor progress and maintain quality workmanship and productivity.
• Provide coaching and training through Craft Employee Evaluations.
• Maintain communications with clients, supervisors and QA/QC.
• Identify safety hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain required records and reports.
• Ensure attendance and reliability of the crew.
