Job summary

Matrix Service Company seeks a skilled pipefitter to lay out, install, maintain and repair piping systems for refinery maintenance/turnaround and construction environments. You will work under a Foreman and must demonstrate high proficiency with hand tools, rigging, and reading engineering drawings.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork, with field verification, measurements, and use of bending, threading, and cutting equipment. Minimum four years’ experience required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years or more in refinery maintenance/turnaround/or construction experience.
• Must pass the Pipefitter Skills Test at or above 70% or have NCCER certification.
• Complete Company's Safety training, Process Safety Management training and site-specific training.
• Must obtain/maintain active status in approved drug testing program.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and sketches; plan work procedures and select materials per engineering standards.
• Set up and operate bending, threading and cutoff equipment; shape and fabricate pipe.
• Assemble and test piping components and joints; set up for welding or special joints.
• Identify safety hazards and take corrective action to mitigate risks.
• Lays out work, calculates dimensions and prepares sketches of piping systems.
