Job summary

Faith Technologies in Crawfordsville, IN is seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter / Welder to join our fabrication team. You will fit, fabricate, and weld piping systems in a shop environment using stainless steel, copper, and carbon steel, with BIM-generated drawings guiding fabrication. The role requires 3+ years of piping experience, TIG/MIG welding, and ability to read isometrics.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED. Welding certifications (AWS, ASME, or equivalent) are a plus.
• Experience: 3+ years experience fitting, fabricating, and welding piping systems in stainless steel, copper and carbon steel.
• Experience reading and interpreting piping isometrics, spool drawings and BIM fabrication drawings.
• Preferred: TIG welding with MIG, stick welding and copper brazing; familiarity with pipe lay out and modern fabrication equipment.

Responsibilities

• Fit, fabricate, and assemble piping systems using stainless steel, copper, and carbon steel.
• Perform TIG welding, MIG welding, and copper brazing following procedures and quality standards.
• Read and interpret piping isometrics, spool drawings, and BIM fabrication drawings.
• Layout, measure, cut, prep, and assemble pipe spools and mechanical assemblies with precision.
• Operate welding machines, pipe positioners, automated saws, CNC pipe processing equipment.
• Interpret fabrication drawings and plan work to meet tolerances and project specs.
• Lay out, measure, cut, and assemble piping systems and mechanical components.
• Prepare pipe joints through beveling, cleaning, alignment, and fit-up.
• Perform TIG, MIG, stick welding, and brazing per established procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and uphold safety protocols.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
