Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking experienced pipe welders for industrial/commercial construction in the Phoenix area. The role involves planning, laying out, and performing pipe welding and fabrication in accordance with plans, codes, and standards.

Candidates must read drawings and P&IDs, and pass weld tests. Key responsibilities include maintaining crew relations, producing safe, high-quality work, and proactively seeking improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–6+ years in industrial/construction pipefitting.
• Ability to read drawings, isometrics, P&ID’s, specs and safety standards.
• Pass required welding test(s).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive working relationships with crew.
• Produce high quality work safely and efficiently.
• Provide tools, materials, and information for the work.
• Identify improvements and learn from others.
• Share knowledge with teammates.
• Maintain proficiency in trade mathematics.
• Inspect subordinates’ work for accuracy and compliance.
