Job summary

MWH Constructors in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Pipefitter to support a critical wastewater treatment plant construction project. You will interpret plans, assemble pipe systems, and install process equipment while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities include cutting, threading, securing pipes, selecting pipe types, and collaborating with the mechanical team to ensure on-time, high-quality installation in a heavy civil environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience with flanged pipe & fittings.
• Ability to read plans/blueprints.
• Pre-employment drug screening and background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the MWH safety program.
• Coordinate with mechanical superintendent to configure pipe system layout.
• Select proper pipes, hangers, and other hydraulic components.
• Assemble materials at job site.
• Cut, thread, and fit pipes as per specs.
• Use saws and torches to craft pipes.
• Secure pipes to walls, tanks, and fixtures.
• Set pumps, mixers, and heat exchangers.
• Repair and maintain pipes and components.
• Interpret plans and blueprints for installations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
