Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding, Goose Creek, SC, is seeking a Pipefitter to install, modify, and repair piping systems from drawings and blueprints to ensure leak-free operation.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years of related education/experience; Apprentice or Associate's Degree with 1 year of related experience may be required. Full-time, on-site position with standard shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Apprentice graduate or Associate's Degree in relevant discipline and 1 year of related experience.
• May require certification.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, and repair piping systems and equipment per drawings and specs.
• Plan routing, placement, elevation, and integration of piping components.
• Test and ensure leak-free joints and proper system operation.

Education
