Job summary

Altrad are seeking a Pipefitter Supervisor to join the Hinkley Point C project team in Somerset. You will supervise pipefitting operations, read drawings, coordinate with trades, and ensure safe, efficient work on heavy piping systems.

The role shifts are 10:45 hours on a 10/4 pattern; lodge and travel are paid where applicable, with overtime rates on non-working days. CCNSG/IOSH qualifications and a strong safety record are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid CCNSG Safety Passport.
• Approved Apprenticeship/NVQ Level 3.
• Proven Supervisory Experience.
• Additional qualifications for supervision: IOSH, SMSTS or LATS.
• Commitment to productive and cost-effective work methods.
• Ensuring safety, quality and compliance on site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee repair and service of high/low-pressure piping systems.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to determine work sequence.
• Dismantle, repair and assemble plant components as required.
• Test plant/machinery and adjust as needed for correct operation.
• Carry out scheduled cleaning, oiling and lubrication tasks.
• Utilise workshops/site equipment and operate overhead crane/slinging safely.
