Job summary

Turner Industries seeks a Pipefitter to lay out, fabricate, assemble, install and maintain piping systems for industrial processing equipment in Norco, LA. The role is non-exempt and reports to the Foreman; duties follow client procedures and site safety rules.

Must meet NCCER credentials or pass craft tests; high school or equivalent required with 1–4 years of pipefitting experience. Per diem/relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• Must have NCCER credentials or be able to pass craft test
• High school or equivalent
• One (1) to four (4) years of experience in specified skill
• Per diem and relocation are not available for this position
• Safety equipment and site requirements as per client and job site safety policies

Responsibilities

• Selects size and type of pipe and related material according to job specifications
• Inspects work sites for obstructions and plan installation to avoid structural issues
• Cuts, threads and bends pipe; assembles and installs pipe fittings
• Joins pipe by threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, fused or cemented joints; secures pipe to structure
• Installs and maintains refrigeration and air-conditioning systems and tests piping for leaks
