Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking Pipefitters for a position in the Cameron, LA area. The role lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and maintains piping and piping systems for industrial processing, heating and cooling systems. This non-exempt position reports to the Foreman and follows client procedures.

Applicants should have high school diploma or equivalent and 1–4 years of pipefitting experience; NCCER preferred. Per diem is available for those at least 50 miles from the site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–4 years of pipefitting experience depending on level.
• NCCER certification preferred.
• Per diem available for distance from jobsite.
• Written pre-employment qualification test.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical.
• Safety requirements as per client.
• Direct threat policy in workplace.

Responsibilities

• Selects size and type of pipe and related material according to job specifications; plans sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and conflicts.
• Cuts, threads and bends pipe; assembles and installs metal and nonmetal pipe fittings and joints.
• Installs and maintains refrigeration and air-conditioning piping systems including compressors and pumps; tests piping system for leaks.
