Job summary

Matrix Service, Inc. in Rougemont, NC seeks an experienced pipefitter to install and repair high- and low-pressure piping for refinery maintenance and new construction. You will lay out work, interpret drawings, select materials and fabricate pipe as required.

Responsibilities include testing, assembling components, and setting up joints while following safety protocols and completing job reports. Retirement and health benefits typical of the industry are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years in refinery maintenance/turnaround/construction.
• General knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Able to pass Pipefitter Skills Test at 70%+ or NCCER certification.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and P&ID's.
• Complete Matrix Service safety and site trainings.

Responsibilities

• Lays out, installs, maintains and repairs piping systems for maintenance, tank and new construction.
• Reads drawings, plans procedures, selects materials and sets up pipe fabrication.
• Tests and inspects piping for air, water, steam, oils, gases, acids, caustics, etc.
• Assembles components, sets up joints, and installs supports and hangers.
• Adheres to safety standards and completes required job reports.
