GreenWood, Inc. in Augusta, GA is seeking a Pipefitter to prepare, assemble, and repair pipe systems of various shapes and pressures, reading blueprints and welding symbols as needed. The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and teamwork in a maintenance-focused environment across the Southeast.

Candidates with apprenticeship or formal training and at least one year of pipefitting experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year of pipefitting experience; more is preferred
• Knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in pipefitting
• Excellent attention to detail and a sense of urgency
• Ability to prioritize with emphasis on quality of work
• Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings and welding symbols
• Apprenticeship or formal training in the area of specialty is preferred
• Ability to use and provide personal hand tools and equipment common to Pipe Fitter Trades

Responsibilities

• Assembles and repairs pipe systems
• Ensures proper placement and alignment according to blueprints, specifications, diagrams, schematics, or instructions
• Manages tools issued and inspects, repairs, and properly handles tools
• Maintains an ethical and fair testing environment during periods of testing
• Follows safety procedures, practices, and regulations before, during, and after welding processes
• Performs other duties as assigned
