Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies seeks skilled Pipefitters to plan, lay out, install and repair piping systems in accordance with plans, specs and codes.

Responsibilities include assembling pipe with various materials, safely using hand and power tools, and coordinating with team members. A minimum of 4 years in pipefitting and reading drawings is required; on-the-job training may be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Pipefitter or equivalent craft, with pipefitting techniques for various piping systems.
• Must own all necessary tools (see Pipefitter tool list).
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lay out, install, test and repair piping systems per plans, specs, codes and standards.
• Use hand and power tools to fit and install pipe and fittings; work with carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC, poly, copper, etc.
• Ensure safety processes and zero-incident goals are met; report hazards and follow lockout/tagout procedures.
• Read and understand orthographic and isometric drawings and interpret plans for accurate installations.
• Coordinate work with other crafts and mentors; provide on-the-job training when needed.
