Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies is seeking a skilled pipe welder for on-site project work. You will plan, lay-out, weld, install and repair pipe and tubular products to applicable plans, specifications, welding codes and industry standards using hand‑and flame-cutting equipment.

The role requires experience with carbon steel and alloy metals, reading plans, and adherence to safety protocols. It is a safety-sensitive position with potential for training and advancement within BVH, Inc.

Qualifications

• At least four years of pipe welding experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must pass welding tests on multiple procedures and welding codes on the project.
• Must have tools as listed for the pipe welder craft and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Weld and install all types of structural steel components according to plans and codes.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions.
• Set up machine, adjust gas flow and pressure for proper flames.
• Read and interpret plans, diagrams, prints, and isometrics.
• Ensure safety procedures and pre-job safety discussions are followed.
