Job summary

Shapiro & Duncan is seeking an experienced Pipefitter to install pipe systems (Plumbing/HVAC) with a strong emphasis on quality, productivity, training, and teamwork.

Based in the DC–Maryland area, the role requires a minimum of 3 years of commercial pipefitting experience, Monday–Friday work with potential overtime in afternoons/evenings/weekends, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read and interpret drawings. Welding certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial pipefitting.
• Able to work Monday–Friday with occasional overtime in afternoons/evenings/weekends as needed.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicts professionally.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe to required angles using hand or power tools or machines.
• Install pipe systems and assemblies with fittings, valves, and fixtures.
• Locate and mark positions for pipe installations and connections.
• Direct helpers in pipe cutting, preassembly, or installation of plumbing systems.
