Job summary

Shapiro & Duncan, a third generation family-owned business serving DC, Maryland and Virginia since 1976, seeks an HVAC Installers to perform safe, accurate installation of commercial HVAC materials, equipment and systems per design documents. You will work under HVAC Supervisor/Foreman/Superintendent and may train apprentices.

Applicants should have 5+ years in commercial HVAC, strong knowledge of refrigeration, air distribution, and electrical wiring, and be able to read plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC.
• Journeyman license preferred.
• Strong understanding of refrigeration, air distribution, and controls.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Install and start up refrigeration piping and HVAC equipment.
• Apply arithmetic and algebra to measurements and calculations on-site.
• Meet deadlines and complete start-up checklists and reports.
• Ensure safe, lean, and compliant field work across multiple sites.
