Job summary

PCSI - Professional Contract Services, Inc. is seeking a Pipefitter for the Mechanical department at Detroit Arsenal in Warren, MI. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing high-pressure steam, hydronic heat, and plumbing systems across a military facility.

You will review drawings, fabricate pipe, troubleshoot issues, and test systems to ensure safe operation. The role requires formal apprenticeship or equivalent experience, ability to work independently in demanding

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience maintaining and repairing chill water, steam, hot water, or natural gas distribution systems and related equipment.
• Experience in industrial, military, government, healthcare, or campus utility plant environments preferred.
• Ability to obtain boiler operator certification and/or boiler plant qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain high‑pressure steam, hydronic heat, chilled water, and plumbing systems across a military facility.
• Review drawings, fabricate and assemble pipe, and test systems for safe operation.
• Troubleshoot system issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Record data in maintenance systems and read/interpret blueprints and ISO drawings.
• Follow safety practices and participate in on-call rotation as required.
