Job summary

Gallo Mechanical, LLC is seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter to lay out, fabricate, install, and maintain piping systems for commercial facilities in Louisiana. The role demands reading blueprints, selecting appropriate pipe sizes, and ensuring safe, efficient installations.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of pipe fitting experience, with the ability to work in physically demanding environments and read Pipefitter’s Blue Book.

Qualifications

• Reads studies and interprets job specifications, plans and blueprints.
• Uses basic math, geometry and trigonometry for calculations.

Responsibilities

• Read plans, blueprints and job specs to understand work.
• Select pipe type and size for each job.
• Inspect site for obstructions and structural integrity.
• Plan installation sequence to avoid conflicts.
• Cut, grind, thread and bend pipe as specified.
• Assemble and install pipe and fittings.
• Join pipes and secure to structures.
• Test piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure.
