Job summary

B&I Contractors, Inc. is seeking a Pipefitter Foreman in Fort Myers, FL to oversee HVAC piping installations on commercial and industrial construction projects. You will ensure safe, compliant, on-time delivery of work while guiding crews and coordinating with project teams.

The role requires journeyman-level piping expertise, strong reading of plans, and leadership abilities. Expect hands-on work with the crew, site meetings, and adherence to strict safety standards in a dynamic workplace.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' HVAC piping and leadership experience.
• Deep knowledge of codes, commercial HVAC systems, blueprints, and construction methods.
• Proficiency with plans, specs, and scheduling practices.

Responsibilities

• Foster a culture of quality, integrity, safety, and teamwork.
• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of crew members to ensure safety and productivity.
• Attend weekly job site meetings in-person to communicate constraints.
• Read and interpret plans, blueprints, submittals, and job orders to determine work methods.
• Plan, organize, and assign tasks to effectively utilize labor, equipment, and materials.
• Monitor project progress and communicate updates to supervisors or project managers.
• Maintain records including daily timekeeping, logs, safety documentation, and labor tracking.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to resolve issues.
• Conduct safety meetings and job hazard analyses as required.
• Provide hands-on training and mentorship to apprentices and journeymen.
