Qualifications

• Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
• Ability to read drawings including pipe shop drawings, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Selects pipe type/size and materials per job specs.
• Assists foreman in planning installation sequence.
• Cuts and threads pipe using appropriate tools.
• Assembles and installs piping with various joints.
• Secures pipes to structure with brackets and hangers.
• Tests piping systems for leaks and safety compliance.
• Work around heavy machinery and cranes; rig and signal loads as required.
• Lay out piping system and calculate offsets, miters, fittings.
