Job summary

Professional Piping Systems, LLC is seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our mechanical fabrication team in Gilbert, AZ. The role supports both day and night shifts and requires reading blueprints and piping diagrams, performing pipe takeoffs, and fitting components for fabrication.

The ideal candidate will have strong math skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with pipe processing equipment and fitting tools.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pipefitter or pipe fabricator.
• Ability to read blueprints and piping drawings.
• Strong math skills for measurements and dimensional calculations.
• Experience with pipe processing equipment and beveling.
• Familiarity with pipe schedules and fittings.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings, piping blueprints, and P&IDs.
• Perform pipe takeoffs to determine required pipe lengths, fittings, valves, and other materials.
• Measure, mark, cut, fit, and prepare pipe according to project specifications.
• Perform pipe processing operations, including beveling and preparation for welding.
• Identify and select appropriate pipe fittings, flanges, valves, and other piping components.
• Use pipefitting tools and measuring equipment to ensure accurate dimensions and proper fit-up.
• Apply basic to advanced math skills to calculate measurements, angles, dimensions, and material requirements.
• Verify materials and fabricated piping against drawings and specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work closely with welders, fabricators, and other shop personnel to meet production schedules and quality standards.
