Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in water/wastewater treatment plants or heavy civil construction is preferred.
• Previous experience as a Pipefitter or Mechanical Pipefitter.
• Ability to read construction drawings, piping isometrics, and P&IDs.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, thread, bend, fit, fabricate, assemble, and install piping systems and components.
• Set mechanical equipment such as pumps, fans and blowers.
• Read and interpret blueprints and P&IDs.
• Install valves, pipe supports, hangers, anchors and other equipment.
• Support welding activities and verify system dimensions and routing.
• Conduct hydrostatic, pneumatic and other pressure tests.
• Assist with cleaning, flushing, commissioning and turnover.
• Use hand tools, power tools and rigging equipment safely.
