The position emphasizes reading isometrics, measuring, fabricating and installing piping, with responsibilities including alignment, clamping, welding prep and rigging.

Qualifications

• Reading isometric drawings and taking measurements to fabricate and install piping per specs.
• Align, bolt, and clamp components for welding.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings and related equipment by welding and threading.
• Position and secure materials and workpieces during installation per plans.
• Distinguish varying thickness and types of metal materials.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings, measure, fabricate and install piping efficiently.
• Align and secure components for welding.
• Assemble pipes, tubes, fittings and equipment per specs.
• Position materials during installation; follow plans and specs.
• Identify material thickness and type of metal.
• Use rigging equipment to move and secure items.
• Operate beveling machines, grinders, hammers, torches, drills and saws.
• Layout and install equipment, vessels, pumps, pipes and supports.
• Hydro test piping systems.
