Job summary

Aramark Facilities Management is hiring a Journeyman Pipefitter to support operations at the General Motors Global Technical Center in Warren, MI. Pay is $41.58/hour, with responsibilities spanning installation, maintenance, and repair of complex plumbing systems.

This role requires a Michigan journeyman license or equivalent, 7+ years of industrial plumbing experience, and the ability to read drawings and interpret specifications. Strong safety practices are required.

Qualifications

• Active State of Michigan Journeyman Plumber license or Journeyman card.
• 7+ years of commercial or industrial plumbing experience.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and safe work practices.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a skilled trades team.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical trade work.
• This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing and piping systems in a large-scale industrial facility
• Work with water, drainage, steam, heating, cooling, and industrial process piping systems
• Lay out, fabricate, assemble, and install pipes, valves, fittings, and fixtures
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Test piping systems for leaks and proper operation
• Install and repair plumbing fixtures including sinks, toilets, water heaters, and related equipment
• Perform routine plumbing and pipefitting work independently
• Use a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to document work
• Support fabrication shop and service departments as needed
• Work safely at heights and in confined spaces when required
• Mentor apprentices and support team members
• Follow all Aramark and GM Technical Center safety and housekeeping standards

Education

Michigan Journeyman Plumber license or Journeyman card
