If you're a pipefitter who likes moving at a commercial construction pace and running your own scope, this is a role where that's valued. Our client is a growing commercial HVAC contractor working on high-rise buildings, tenant remodels, and warehouses across Texas. They pay $35–$40/hr and provide a truck and gas card, with steady Monday–Friday work and no on-call.
THE BASICS
- Location: Houston, TX
- Pay: $35–$40/hour, depending on experience
- Service Area: Based in Houston. Occasional travel to Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio job sites as needed, with hotel and per diem covered. No relocation required.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, typically 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Some jobs start earlier (4:00–6:00 AM) depending on site restrictions.
- On-Call: None. This is not a service role with on-call responsibilities.
- Reports To: Field Supervisor
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Run the pipefitting scope on your assigned commercial projects from start to finish
- Install copper and steel piping
- Handle welding on commercial HVAC piping systems
- Coordinate with your supervisor and the other trades on site to keep projects moving
- Read plans and get ahead of your material needs before work starts
- Work primarily on high-rise tenant remodels, plus warehouses, standalone buildings, and the occasional new build
- Travel to out-of-town project sites when needed, with lodging and per diem paid

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required:
- 5–10 years of pipefitting experience, including commercial work
- Copper piping experience
- Steel piping experience
- Welding experience
Nice to Have (not required):
- A commercial construction background (preferred over industrial)
- Strong productivity and job pacing
