Job summary

Waterstone Human Capital is recruiting a skilled Pipe Fitter for a growing fabrication and metal manufacturing company in Utah. The role involves fabricating and assembling piping systems from shop drawings, closely coordinating with welding and shop teams to maintain schedule and conformance.

The ideal candidate has hands-on welding and fabrication experience, is proficient with tape measures and blueprints, and can pass a fit-up test. Must be a U.S. Person with no visa sponsorship needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure precisely and interpret blueprints.
• High school diploma or equivalent; pass a fit-up test required.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble carbon and stainless piping systems from fabrication-level shop drawings; isometric experience is a plus.
• Study and review pipe isometric drawings before fabrication, and measure and mark pipe with precision for cutting and fitting.
• Assemble and tack weld pipe components and systems to design specifications so they're ready for welding.
• Inspect the work area and tools daily, keeping equipment maintained to OSHA standards and materials on hand.
• Coordinate with the welding manager and shop lead to keep jobs supplied with the right materials, in compliance with relevant codes and quality standards.

Compensation: $30/hr+, negotiable based on experience

Our client is a growing fabrication and metal manufacturing company that builds piping systems and structural steel components for industrial and infrastructure projects, with an expanding footprint in Northern Utah. They're investing in a new production facility and are looking for skilled Pipe Fitters to grow with them.

Your Role:

As a Pipe Fitter, you'll fabricate and assemble piping systems from shop drawings, working closely with the welding and shop teams to keep production on schedule and to spec.

What You'll Do:

• Fabricate and assemble carbon and stainless piping systems from fabrication-level shop drawings; isometric experience is a plus
• Study and review pipe isometric drawings before fabrication, and measure and mark pipe with precision for cutting and fitting
• Assemble and tack weld pipe components and systems to design specifications so they're ready for welding

What You'll Bring:

• Experience in metal fabrication with hands-on knowledge of welding, fabrication techniques, and power equipment
• Solid grasp of arithmetic, fractions, decimals, geometry, and basic trigonometry, plus blueprint comprehension
• Ability to read a tape measure precisely and a dedication to quality and craftsmanship
• High school diploma or equivalent, reliable daily attendance, and ability to pass a fit-up test
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person and be able to work without visa sponsorship
