Position Summary

Location Requirement: Must reside or be willing to relocate within a one-hour radius of Asheville, NC.

This role involves ensuring piping systems are installed according to plans and specifications. Responsibilities include coordinating activities related to fabrication, assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping, fixtures, equipment, and systems for gas, steam, water, or oil. The role requires reading drawings, selecting appropriate tools and materials, performing welding, pipe fitting, assembly, and repair tasks, and leading a crew in the absence of a foreman.

Note: While the primary focus is Pipefitting, our company operates in industrial maintenance, and our craftsmen are expected to develop multi-disciplinary skills across various crafts.

Requirements

• Preferred 5+ years of experience in the field.
• Ability to pass employer performance tests and meet certification standards of relevant agencies or associations.
• Successful criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Positive attitude, good attendance, and ability to work harmoniously with others, including inspectors and customers.
• Physical ability to carry up to 50 pounds and work in various environments, including outdoor settings in all weather conditions.
• Proficiency with hand tools and safety equipment usage.

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions

• Work is performed in indoor and outdoor environments, often in extreme weather.
• Requires physical activities such as standing, walking, kneeling, bending, reaching, and climbing.
• Ability to lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
