Pipe Foreman Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety at all times.
• Supervise and direct crew members on-site.
• Understand project specifications and plans.
• Establish and adjust work sequences to meet schedules, considering equipment and personnel capacities.
• Ensure weekly submission of crew time cards.
• Complete daily foreman reports.
• Identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Explain and understand survey and grade staking (Lasers, Transits, GPS).
• Manage all excavating activities for your crew.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pipe Layer and Backhoe Operator Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform physical tasks and operate equipment for pipe installation on construction sites.
• Maintain site cleanliness.
• Unload, handle, and stockpile materials.
• Place, push, pull, and shovel materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a pipe foreman, layer, or backhoe operator in the Highway Heavy Civil Construction Industry.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment.
• Willingness to learn and accept supervision.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to use tools and equipment, including power and non-power tools.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, crouch, kneel, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs periodically.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time, multitask, and prioritize.
• Attention to detail and ability to recognize discrepancies.

Working Conditions

• Travel to project sites, primarily in Charlotte, NC, with potential locations throughout the Eastern Region.
• Construction site environment requiring physical activity and exposure to high noise levels.
