Plan, lay-out, and perform all types of pipe welding and fabrication work in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by project supervision. Must have the ability to take direction from a higher skilled worker or foreman.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Minimum of three years’ (level I), four years’ (level II), five years’ (level III), and six plus years’ (level Sr.) experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry with an understanding of the pipefitter trade.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, isometrics, P&ID’s, specifications, safety, and quality standards, and utilize trade tools and equipment.
• Must pass required weld tests.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Work up to 12-hour shifts in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions.
• Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
• Lift, push, or pull objects up to 50lbs occasionally.
• Use hands frequently to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects.
• Comply with all safety standards and procedures.
• Reach above shoulder heights and below waist frequently.
• Occasionally stoop, kneel, or bend.
• Wear PPE such as steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, and vest.
• Navigate confined, cluttered, and uneven areas.
• Use electronic devices like telephone, email, or computer on a limited basis.
