GEA in York, PA is searching for a Pipe Welder to join our team! Whether you are a new grad or have 10+ years of experience, we want to talk to you! Our York facility focuses on Heating and Refrigeration Technology and builds equipment that is used nationwide.
This role will perform 6G Weld tests for Mig, Tig, and Pulse.
Responsibilities:
Standard Vessels and Heat Exchangers
Perform all operations in the manufacture of standard separators, receivers, and heat exchangers to required specifications and budgets.
Assemble and weld sub assembly parts, supports, legs, angles, and water boxes
Install parts, heads, and sub arc
Weld internal and external parts
Sub arc wrappers
Performs other duties as assigned
Standard Compressor Packages
Perform all operations in the manufacture of standard compressor packages to required specifications and budgets.
Assemble and weld sub assembly parts and install system piping
Installs package components
Assist in training less experienced employees
Performs other duties as assigned
Fabrication
Utilize Grinders, Plasma, Torch, etc... to fabricate parts needed for use in the shop
Your Profile / Qualifications
Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred but not required.
Certified Vocational Degrees Preferred
Minimum Experience: Vocation Training or Less than 2 related assembly experience
Basic math skills
Basic blueprint reading
Basic fabrication skills
Comprehension of safety rules
Sit, stand, reach, walk for periods of time on concrete surface.
Ability to lift / carry 50 lbs.
Sufficient hand, arm and finger dexterity to operate tools and or machinery.
May be required to work extended hours which may include weekends and holidays.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $24.00 - $33.00 per hour. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
