Job summary

Everus Construction Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled piping welder to install, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems in industrial environments. The ideal candidate will weld in GTAW (Tig) and SMAW (stick) up to 6G, read blueprints, and follow stringent safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, choosing appropriate materials, and inspecting systems for leaks and safety. Medical, 401(k), and other benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
• Mechanical aptitude with understanding of piping systems and materials.
• Proven ability to perform high-quality welds in GTAW (Tig) and SMAW (stick) up to 6G.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems carrying steam, water, chemicals, or gases in industrial settings.
• Strong understanding of piping systems, materials, and industrial standards.
• Familiarity with carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, and aluminum pipes.
• Use welding machines, grinders, torches, and cutting systems.
• Follow Weld Procedure Specifications and equipment setup for various materials and wall thicknesses.
• Fabricate pipe spools and components per project requirements using welding and fitting techniques.
• Interpret blueprints and specs to plan piping layouts and ensure compliance with design specs and codes.
• Test piping systems for leaks via hydrostatic or air pressure tests.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and industry codes.
• Lead and instruct mechanical piping helpers, mechanics, and fitters.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
• Other tasks as assigned
