Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be GTAW certified on 2" S-80 pipe in 6G.
• Ability to weld carbon steel pipe in 6G position.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Strong math and measurement skills for proportions, area and volume.
• Willingness to learn and work hard in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pipe components by tacking them in place prior to welding.
• Verify squareness and fit-up of joints and pipe spools.
• Weld joints and purge pipe as required.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Record heat numbers and inspect finished welds.
• Operate crane to move pipes and parts as needed.
