Job summary

Zero Zone is seeking a skilled pipe welder to assemble, fabricate and weld custom refrigeration systems in our Ramsey, MN shop. The role requires reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, and maintaining welding equipment.

You will collaborate with project leads, follow ASME B31.5 standards, and participate in process improvements. A minimum one year of pipe welding experience and ASME/AWS certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; manufacturing experience helpful.
• Minimum of 1 year pipe welding experience required.
• ASME/AWS pipe weld certification preferred.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and diagrams.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Weld pipes per ASME B31.5 certification requirements.
• Coordinate pipe welding functions per design documentation.
• Plan layouts and select welding equipment.
• Cut and bevel steel pipe according to blueprints.
• Align and secure pipe with components using clamps and tack welds.
• Maintain welding tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Review ECOs and respond as instructed; assist improvements.
