Job summary

United Group Services, Inc. in Kentucky is seeking a Pipe Welder to join our industrial construction team. The role involves welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping on active job sites while ensuring all welds meet quality, safety, and code requirements.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints and welding symbols, pass a site weld test, and be willing to work overtime and travel as needed. Reliability, safety, and a strong work ethic are highly valued on demanding projects.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a pipe welder in industrial or mechanical construction.
Ability to pass a weld test (site-specific).
Strong knowledge of welding procedures and techniques.
Ability to read blueprints and isometrics.

Responsibilities

Perform SMAW, GTAW (TIG), and FCAW welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping.
Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols.
Fit and weld pipe per project specs and applicable codes (ASME, AWS, etc.).
Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools.
Conduct visual inspections to ensure weld quality and integrity.
Follow site safety rules and company safety policies.
Collaborate with foremen, supervisors, and other crafts to meet production goals.
Keep work areas clean and organized.
Complete work efficiently while meeting quality expectations.
