Job summary

Keeley Construction is seeking experienced Industrial Pipe Welders for our industrial construction and maintenance projects in Tennessee. You will weld piping systems and related components to project specifications while adhering to welding procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, positioning and welding in all axes, setting up welding machines, coordinating with pipefitters, inspecting work, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Industrial pipe welding experience required.
• Ability to perform welding in multiple positions.
• Experience with SMAW and/or GTAW as required by project.
• Ability to read piping isometrics and welding-related drawings.
• Knowledge of joint preparation, fit-up, welding techniques, and welding equipment.
• Ability to work safely in confined, elevated, and restricted areas.
• Must provide required basic personal hand tools.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must meet pre-employment and project-specific screening requirements.
• Must be physically capable of lifting, climbing, bending, kneeling, and working in industrial environments.
• Must be available for overtime, weekends, and varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality pipe welding with minimal supervision.
• Read and interpret piping isometrics, construction drawings, welding specifications, and procedures.
• Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Weld various pipe joint configurations as required by the project.
• Set up and properly operate welding machines and associated equipment.
• Verify joint preparation, fit-up, cleanliness, and alignment before welding.
• Coordinate with pipefitters to ensure proper fit-up and installation.
• Inspect completed work for visible defects and workmanship.
• Maintain welding leads, stingers, grounds, torches, and related equipment in safe condition.
• Assist with material coordination and staging when required.
• Follow welding procedures and project quality requirements.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, and elevated work areas as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
