Job summary

Hilton Mechanical Contractors, based in Georgia, seeks experienced Pipe Welder/Fitters to join the team. Work will occur at our shops in Gainesville and Alpharetta, with travel to other jobsites as needed.

Candidates should have 1+ years of pipefitting and welding experience in industrial settings, be able to weld in 2G/5G/6G positions, and pass pre-employment tests. We offer competitive hourly pay, overtime, and benefits including health and 401(k).

Qualifications

• 1+ years of pipefitting and pipe welding experience in industrial, mechanical, or process piping
• Able to weld pipe in 2G, 5G, and 6G positions
• Proficient with SMAW and GTAW; MIG/flux-core a plus
• Strong print-reading: isometrics, P&IDs, and weld symbols
• Able to pass a pre-employment weld test
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites across Georgia
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Current weld certifications (ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1, or equivalent)
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
• Forklift, fall protection, scissor lift, or boom lift certifications
• Competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualification

Responsibilities

• Lay out, cut, fit, and weld carbon and stainless steel pipe
• Work from isometric drawings and P&IDs to fabricate spools
• Run SMAW (stick), GTAW (TIG), and GMAW (MIG) processes as the job calls for — including root pass and fill/cap on pipe
• Perform quality welds on rotators and in-position
• Set, align, and tie in piping systems
• Handle threaded, grooved, butt-weld, and socket-weld connections
• Maintain consistent quality requirements
• Work safely with rigging, lifting equipment, and hot work permits

Overview

We are seeking experienced Pipe Welder/Fitters to join our team. Work will primarily be performed at our shops in Gainesville, GA and Alpharetta, GA. Travel to other jobsites and shops may be needed.

Candidates must be willing to travel to locations as needed.

Pay Range: $28/hr - $35/hr
